BIOL 110 General Biology I 5(4,3)

Introductory course designed for students majoring in biological disciplines. Course integrates lecture and laboratory and emphasizes a modern, quantitative, and experimental approach to explanations of structure, composition, dynamics, interactions, and evolution of cells and organisms. High school chemistry is recommended. Coreq: CH 101.

This course is intended to fulfill General Education requirements for students enrolled in biology-related curricula. It is intended for students majoring in the biological sciences. Professional schools, e.g., medical, pharmacy, dental, veterinary, etc., will accept this course as fulfilling their biology requirement.

Credit toward a degree will be given for only one combination of the following: BIOL 110 or 103 followed by BIOL 111 or 104 dependent on the requirements for the major.
